LESSONS

so listen here my child I've been thinking this a while I've wrote a word for every mile , on this long road called life through all my pleasures and my strife there's nothing more important than you children and my wife to watch the smiles you bear and the way the wind blows through your hair there's nothing I wouldn't do there's no cross I wouldn't bear there's no struggle so large in life that would keep me from that glare of those beautiful eyes that stare on your journey to come to watch you step outside alive and not just turn and run so I teach you because I love you some lessons are hard to bear these lessons are hard for me to teach may come with deep despair but please my child listen now this doesn't mean I don't care the care is in the lesson that lessons mine to teach the lesson not taught is a lesson not learned in a lesson that's not there to reach that's why you need to know there's importance in each day and never question will Dad leave or will my daddy stay that's a lesson that you'll learn written in my way Dad will never leave you child not now not any day I may may seem disappointed or look to be in dismay but listen child my disappoint is not in you it's in the lesson I let float away it's in the lesson that I had a chance to teach that God put on a tray but I chose to let that lesson weather like a rope that starts to fray disappoint of lessons lost that can't be gained again or maybe these lessons are for later in life the question is just where and when so I put this in a lock box and tuck it deep within it's slowly creeps on out in stories and of where I've bin, oh my lessons taught are taught with Grace and never sin however some require a light tap on the chin to wake you up keep you steady on your way another important lesson is to God we always pray God will always protect you and guide you on your way because God will always be here for the times I cannot stay for there's work upon the land that I tend to so I can feed your mouths for
