As I roll through the fields, feel this summer night slide the fall creeping in yet still eager to ride The frost now visits , The grass falls with pride protecting its roots. Mother nature. The guide, the air calm and cool sweeps in like the tide, the battle begins as fall and winter collide pushing and pulling. I sit back with no sounds as I sit on like the horse and call on the Hounds cows to be rounded and time to stage rounds, whore frost on the wires daylight, benign The time of the year where the moon will now shine The Snow now reflecting the moon's silent light for nothing will grow as it lights up the night warm breath hits the air that loses the fight pull the neck warmer up. Pull the gloves on tight for now, winter is here the coldest delight everything sleeps yet distant howls resume The wings of the Ravens can be heard at high noon that crisp cool air. Lets the sound pass for miles as the cycle continues is mother nature runs trials survival of the fittest. She weans out the weak Frozen souls lie still on the banks of the creek as I look to the sky I pray but don't speak to preserve the silence and not Cloud the air. Some death is for better yet some seems not fair The air too cold to assist in the rescue as early calfa freeze in last year 's fallen fescues their mother s stand by. I can feel despair. She does nothing but balls rendered useless but still cares knowing it's lost. It's baby this year I ride on to the next herd is my cold glove wipes tears cheeks my body it fights my blood looks forward to warm. Summer nights is the winter nights close and spring jumps ahead I sat down my parka and rest my head for winter is over. We now mourn the dead, the ones that have passed and the ones that have fled the coldness of winter. The fight that they dread some run for the hills it is said at last the ride has has ended with pleasure. New summers here which now now I shall measure
